SAINT LAWRENCE OF DUBLIN, BISHOP

Entrance Antiphon Ezek 34:11,23-24

I will look after my sheep, says the Lord, and I will raise up a shepherd who will pasture them. I, the Lord, will be their God.

Opening Prayer

Lord God,

you counted Saint Lawrence among your holy pastors,

renowned for his ardent love and faith

which overcame the world.

By the help of his prayers,

may we persevere in faith and love

and come to share his glory.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Prayer over the Gifts

Lord, look kindly

on the sacrificial gifts we place on your holy altar

on this feast of bishop Saint Lawrence.

May our offering bring us your forgiveness

and give honor to your name.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Communion Antiphon Jn 15:16

You did not choose me, says the Lord, No, I chose you; and I commissioned you to go out and bear fruit, fruit that will last.

Prayer after Communion

Lord,

may we who are nourished by these sacred mysteries

be inspired by the example of Saint Lawrence.

May we strive to proclaim what he believed

and put into action what he taught.
