Entrance Antiphon

The souls of the saints are happy in heaven, because they followed in the footsteps of Christ. They exult for joy with him because they shed their blood for love of him.

Opening Prayer

Lord,

we rejoice in the fraternal company of your martyrs.

May they help us make progress in faith and good works,

and console us by their united intercession.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Prayer over the Gifts

Father, Holy One,

receive these gifts we bring in memory of your holy martyrs.

Grant that we, your servants, may remain steadfast

in bearing witness to your holy name.

We ask this through Christ our Lord

Communion Antiphon Lk 22:28-30

You have stood firmly by me in my times of trial; and now I confer a kingdom on you, says the Lord, where you shall eat and drink at my table.

Prayer after Communion

Lord God,

in your holy martyrs

you have made clear for us

the mystery of the Cross.

Strengthen us by this sacrifice

to hold fast in faith to Christ

and to work in your Church

for the salvation of all.
