BLESSED MARY LHUILIER, VIRGIN AND MARTYR

Entrance Antiphon

Come, bride of Christ, and receive the crown

which the Lord has made ready for you for ever.

Opening Prayer

Father, today you give us the joy

of celebrating the memory of Blessed Mary,

virgin and martyr.

May we, who are inspired by the example

of her courage and resolve,

be helped by her merits.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Prayer over the Gifts

Lord,

graciously receive the gifts

we bring at this celebration in honor of Blessed Mary,

as you were pleased to accept

the victorious combat of her martyrdom.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Communion Antiphon Lk 10:42

This wise virgin has chosen the better part for herself;

it shall not be taken away from her.

Prayer after Communion

Lord God,

you rewarded Saint Mary

with the crown of sanctity

for her double victory of virginity and martyrdom.

By the power of this sacrament

help us to overcome evil with courage

and so achieve the glory of heaven.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
