Come, you who have my Father’s blessing, says the Lord. When I was ill, you came to my help. Truly I tell you, anything you did for the least of my brothers, you did for me.

Opening Prayer

Lord,

you have given us Saint Bernard

to be patron of those who live among the alps,

and of those who travel across them.

Protect us by his prayers, and grant that,

as we strive to climb in his footsteps,

we may reach the summit, who is Christ,

living and reigning with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Prayer over the Gifts

Lord,

receive these gifts of your people,

as we recall the immense labor of love of your Son.

May we be strengthened in our love of you and our neighbor, by the example of your saints.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Communion Antiphon Jn 15:13

There is no greater love than this, that a man should lay down his life for his friends.

Prayer after Communion

Lord,

may we who are renewed by these mysteries

follow the example of Saint Bernard,

who worshipped you with unfailing reverence

and cared for your people with generous love.
