Entrance Antiphon

The Lord chose him to be high priest; he opened his

treasure and made him rich in all good things.

Opening Prayer

Lord, give to your Church

the spirit of fortitude and zeal for justice

with which you distinguished pope Saint Gregory.

May it condemn what is evil

and pursue whatever is good

in freedom and charity.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Prayer over the Gifts

Lord,

we offer you this sacrifice of praise

in remembrance of your saints.

We trust in their help

to deliver us from evil

now and in time to come.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Communion Antiphon Jn 10:11

The good shepherd lays down his life for his sheep

Prayer after Communion

Lord God, may the sacrament we have received

set our hearts on fire with the charity

which burned in the heart of Saint Gregory,

urging him to spend his life for your Church.
