SAINT ALDOBRAND OF FOSSOMBRONE, BISHOP

The Lord sealed a covenant of peace with him, making him a prince and giving him the priestly dignity for ever. Alleluia.

Opening Prayer

Father, you called Saint Aldobrand

to follow your Son

and to fulfill the ministry of bishop.

With the help of his prayers and example,

may we always hold fast to you in love,

and draw our brothers and sisters to you.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Prayer over the Gifts

Lord, may this offering of the sacrifice

which takes away the sins of all the world

bring us forgiveness

on this feast of Saint Aldobrand.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Lord God, may the power of the gifts we have received

on the feast of Saint Aldobrand

have its full effect on us.
