SAINT GAUCHER, PRIEST

Entrance Antiphon Lk 4:18

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me because he has anointed me; he has sent me to announce good news to the poor; to heal the broken-hearted.

Opening Prayer

Father, you made Saint Gaucher

outstanding in his imitation of Christ.

By the light of his good example,

may we turn to you with all our heart

and increase our efforts to lead a good life.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Prayer over the Gifts

All-powerful Father,

we bow down in prayer before your splendor

and offer these gifts in honor of your saints.

As these gifts bear witness to your power and glory,

so may they bring near to us the effects of your salvation.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Communion Antiphon Mt 28:20

I will be with you always, to the end of time,

says the Lord [Alleluia].

Prayer after Communion

Lord, may the mysteries we have received

prepare us for the eternal joy

which Saint Gaucher merited by his faithful ministry.
