SAINT CATHERINE THOMAS. VIRGIN

Entrance Antiphon

Come, bride of Christ, and receive the crown

which the Lord has made ready for you for ever [Alleluia].

Opening Prayer

Father, you called Saint Catherine to serve you alone,

in seclusion from the world,

and to enrich your Church

with the fruitful apostolate of her hidden life.

May our prayer and our work be so integrated

that we may please you alone

and win souls for our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Prayer over the Gifts

Lord, accept this sign of our humble obedience

which we offer you

in remembrance of the virgin, Saint Catherine.

By this pure sacrifice,

may our hearts be on fire with holy love in your presence.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Communion Antiphon Lk 10:42

This wise virgin has chosen the better part for herself; it shall not be taken away from her [Alleluia].

Prayer after Communion

Merciful God, nourished with the bread from heaven,

we make our humble prayer

as we rejoice in the memory of Saint Catherine.

Grant us pardon for our sins,

health of body,

your grace in this life

and glory in the life to come.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
