SAINT MARTIN OF LEON, PRIEST

Entrance Antiphon                  Dan 3:84,87

Bless the Lord, you that are his priests.

You that are devout and humble of heart, sing his praise.

Opening Prayer

Lord God,

you enkindled in the heart of Saint Martin

a special love for the Eucharist. Inspired by his devotion,

may we grow in spiritual strength,

and may our hearts be drawn together

by the golden thread of charity.

We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son,

who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,

one God, for ever and ever.

Prayer over the Gifts

All-powerful God,

may the offerings that we, your people,

bring you in memory of Saint Martin,

be mingled with your gifts from heaven.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.

Communion Antiphon                                                   Jn 6:54-55

Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. My flesh is real food; my blood is real drink.

Prayer after Communion

Lord,

we have received with rejoicing

this pledge of our eternal redemption,

on the feast of Saint Martin.

May it support us in this present life

and in the life to come.

We ask this through Christ our Lord.
