The Juniors of the Congregation gather
This year's Juniorate Week of the Austrian Congregation of Canons Regular took place at Stift Klosterneuburg. It certainly made travel time lighter! Juniors from around the congregation gathered here to meet and share their hopes and dreams for the canonical life. There were tours of some of our parishes as well as trips to see places like the house of the Teutonic Knights in Vienna, one of Vienna's most interesting churches. The Teutonic Knights are an old Order based on the concept of the military Orders.

Dom Daniel installed in Donaufeld
On February 25th, Dom Daniel Nash was installed as moderator of the parish of Donaufeld. He is the first of the Americans to be entrusted with a parish here and the excitement was tangible at the celebration. Dom Josef was assigned to Donaufeld with Daniel and together they have jumped in "at the deep end"! It is a sign of great confidence from the Provost, as this was his brother's parish until his untimely death in 2002. It is also one of the community's largest parishes. When the present church was built, it was conceived of as a cathedral for Lower Austria.

40 Years of Priesthood for Provost Bernhard!
Provost Bernhard celebrated his 40th anniversary of priesthood on March 27th. The Mass and reception were huge, with civil dignitaries as well as abbots and provosts coming from all over Austria to honor him.
