Chapter Vote on Solemn and Simple Professions |
On
Thursday, May 18, the Chapter of Stift Klosterneuburg voted to admit Dom
Clemens, Dom Elias and Dom Josef to the community through the profession of
solemn vows of common property, chastity, obedience and stability. This solemn
profession will take place on the
solemnity of St. Augustine, August 28, 2006 in the basilica of the Nativity of
Our Lady.
We rejoice at the chapter's decision.
For all those who have been united with us in prayer these past four years, we express our
deep gratitude for all your sacrifices and spiritual
efforts. We ask for your continued support as we look
forward to the future.
On the
same day, the Chapter voted to admit Dom Albert Maczka, a priest from Poland,
and Dom Meinrad Bolz, from Germany, to simple vows. They will begin their 3 year
period as simply professed juniors on August 28 as well.
On Saturday, April 22, Lukas was ordained to the priesthood by his former Novicemaster, Markus, who is now the bishop of Oslo, Norway.
