The feast of Saint Augustine is always a big event here at Stift Klosterneuburg!

In addition to being the feast day of our Ordensvater (father of our order), on this day we accept candidates into the Novitiate, our current Novices make their simple profession, and clerics who have completed their simple profession make their solemn profession.

This year we had:

4 Candidates accepted into the Novitiate

3 Novices making their simple profession

2 Clerics making their solemn profession

The feast begins with first vespers on August 27.

Before vespers, we clothe our new novices at the Verduner Altar...

Meet the Candidates:

Claus Müller, Luke Au Yeung, Jose Trujillo, and Fr Stephen Nash

and, finally, the Surplice.

No, Claus, we didn't forget you!

Don't try that again!
