Lent
Update
February has been a busy month for us at Stift Klosterneuburg. In
addition to the usual festivity of the weeks before Lent, called Fasching in
German, one novice, Dom Rudolf, professed simple vows and became a junior and
Dom Markus and Dom Elias traveled to America to promote vocations and pray with
our friends and supporters.
And speaking of vocations, our upcoming novitiate for August is beginning to take
shape and things are looking good. We are looking forward to having more
brothers with us on the way to God in the common life.
Your prayers remain indispensable in this holy task and we are grateful for this
assistance.
Profession of Simple Vows
Dom Rudolf Stefan Czaby professed temporary vows of poverty, chastity and
obedience on the feast of the Presentation. Now a junior, Dom Rudolf is
now
beginning his theological studies at the University of Innsbruck.
The Chapter arrives at the sanctuary, followed by
guests, concelebrants and the Propst.

Mass in honor of St. Leopold in America
On Saturday, February 14th at 10:00 a.m. a special votive Mass in honor of St. Leopold was
offered to thank God for the many blessings He has bestowed on Stift Klosterneuburg
and to pray for His continued blessing. It was a very happy event and we
are pleased with the generous response of all who were in attendance as well as
those who prayed with us despite their absence. Thanks to all.
Over 200 people came to St. Clare's Catholic Church in Clifton, Virginia to celebrate the Holy Eucharist.
Dom Markus and Dom Elias wait for the opening hymn
with the Altar Servers, Danny Heenan (who is behind Brian), Brian Piche,
Ryan McManus, Robbie Renner, Zach Akers.
The procession arrives at the sanctuary.

Acts of the Apostles 2:42-47, the Magna Carta for the
Common Life.
Kelsey McManus proclaims the Second Reading,
1 Jn. 4:1-6, in which St. John announces our victory
over the world.
Dom Elias proclaims the Gospel, Mt. 5:13-16,
in which Christ calls His disciples salt of the earth and the light of the world.
Dom Elias preaches on the joint mission of the Canons Regular and the Faithful
to follow Christ in dispelling the darkness of this
world.
Colleen Coyne reads the General Intercessions.
Dom Markus elevates the chalice and the paten at the conclusion of the
Eucharistic Prayer.
