St. Augustine
from our church
What is new at Klosterneuburg:
After a summer break, we are back!
August is a big month for us at Stift Klosterneuburg. Below you will see
all the feast days of the Order, which includes our celebration of the Feast of
St. Augustine. At that time we will be clothing five novices, three
novices will become juniors by taking simple vows and one junior will become a
Canon by taking solemn vows.
In the meantime, all the candidates will be settling into their new home. For
three of them, this means coming from other countries, Norway and the United
States of America. Then prior to the Feast of St. Augustine, the current
novices and the candidates for the novitiate will go on their canonical retreats
at Stift Vorau, one of
the six houses belonging to the Austrian Congregation of Canons Regular, in
preparation for their new positions in the community.
